Liars and Other Dreamers

Liars and Other Dreamers

Tell good stories

Fictions we want to believe

Especially at the end of the day

At the end of the day

The dark of the moon

Cannot be held at bay

We need the tales

Weaving a blanket

Against the lonely cold

Lovers and other dreamers

Feed our souls

Stories we need to hear

At the end of the day

At the end of the day

When the fires are built high

Flames reach to touch

Flesh insulated

By banal blanket

Leaving the cold outside

Lovers and Liars

Dreamers all

Illusions to keep

Good company
